Conservapedia on Evolution Syndrome
1. Believing that Evolution is real is a syndrome
Conservapedia claims that Evolution Syndrome is the tendency of some to believe humans evolved from animals and there is no other way humans came about. People who have Evolution Syndrome push their beliefs on others and try to censor the internet for anything that differs from their beliefs. People who suffer from Evolution Syndrome often also suffer from last wordism.
2. Evolution Syndrome sufferers are often college students who lack work ethic
Conservapedia claims that those who suffer from Evolution Syndrome are college students who wanted to excel in math or physics but lacked the work ethic to succeed. They are "wannabes" in that they want to be recognized academically but are finding liberals will praise them if they promote and believe in evolution. This is similar to baseball players taking steroids to get out of a hitting slump.
3. People who believe in evolution are atheists
Conservapedia claims that Evolution Syndrome blinds their believers into thinking humans have evolved to see all of reality. Much of reality would be "unseen" to an evolving human but Evolution Syndrome suffers insist there is nothing unseen by humans, and no God.
Debunking Science
Conservapedia claims that those who believe in evolution suffer from a syndrome called, "Evolution Syndrome." This is a theory brought up on other websites, many more offensive than conservapedia, claiming those who suffer from this "syndrome" lack work ethic to figure out the truth. This page was an opinionated claim, with no science to back it up, and clearly to define people who believe evolution as the other, lesser, and stupider group of human beings. As we know, there is plenty of science to back up the claims that science is real and that people who believe in it are not less than.
Evolution syndrome is not a real diagnosis, and believers in evolution have great work ethic
Evolution syndrome only appears on other websites also with no science to back this claim up. Some of the scientist who chose to study evolution and pursue higher degree programs clearly have strong work ethic as the required skills to continue on in education is a testament to the necessary strong work ethic. For example, Charles Darwin attended the University of Edinburgh originally to study medicine, where he then transferred to Christ's College in Cambridge where he would continue to study. In my own experience, in General Biology freshman year, our professor emphasized the importance of understanding evolution as it is still reflected in today's medical practice. This was an absurd claim of Conservapedia and not correct at all.

Believing in Evolution does not automatically make on an atheist
Believing in evolution does not make one an atheist. The point I think conservapedia is trying to address here would be that if one believes in evolution, they cannot believe in creationism, which is the idea that the universe was created by an outside being, usually people believe this is God. Another creationist argument is that all living things were created in the current form, which we know not to be true because of the examples and visual evidence of evolution. Believing in the adaptability, evolution and change of life on Earth does not make you an atheist because it does not prove there not to be a God.
